I have to say, there are very few amps that cure the constant search...

It took me a bit to find the one I liked but definitely. Every time I plug into it I'm reminded why I keep it
I feel the same way. Haven't done any gigs lately where they're needed, but this thread has got me wanting to cart one to the next gig for shits and giggles. It'll probably be the MC50. That's become my favorite Wizard of my Wizards.

Gotta say my Wizards are some of my most treasured. I told my wife if I die before her, cremate my Wizards with my remains, and sell all the rest of my gear to pay for the funeral. ;)

Whatever's left over, go party at the casino for a celebration of life. She'll much deserve it after being married to me for 31yrs

I've owned a MC1 and a MCII . My MCI was a nickel transformer and I picked it out of 8 amps. Loved it for the longest time. Then I got the MCII also with nickel. (I find both the iron and steel trannies too spikey in the highs for me) I'm not sure if Rick still uses all three or settled on one.
As many of you know, I demoed Wizards at many amp shows including NAMM, the LA show, Nashville and NYC on multiple occasions. I've played a LOT of Wizards. I have to say my MCI was the best in my amp stable back then. I liked it even better than the MCII.
That being said, After spending some time with my recently aquired Friedman BE50 deluxe, I can honestly say it does more of what I want and is more versatile than either of the Wizards I owned. It definitely does the bedroom volume thing better.. Not to say that I wouldn't love to try the new models of Wizards out.

I too found the BE50 DLX to be one of my favorite sounding amps. It's very reactive and just fits in so many pockets! No wonder Dave calls it "the best amp he's ever built". But at the same time I'd love to audition a Wizard MCI.
