I just wanted to say thank you for all the help over the years that i've been apart of this forum. I don't contribute much as i really don't have much to offer, there are far too many inteligent people on here for anything i have to say to carry much weight. Thank you for helping someone who really has no idea what he's doing.

Same here dude. Learned a bunch here, and every once in a while someone comes along that asks something I know about, and I can help too. All good.

This isn't a precursor to a "So long, I'm leaving the digital realm to live in reality" thread, is it?

No not at all, i love this place and spend a ton of time here reading the threads. It's simply a thank you from someone who has A LOT less knowledge about amps and midi and guitar rigs than most of the people here. sometimes i read what people talk about and i feel dumb for not knowing some of the things that most of the people here know. I'm just saying thank you for all the information exchanged here. It's nice to feel apart of something where peope want to help each other...in a society where people have become more insular and selfish/self absorbed.

Awesome post!! I feel the same
Got alot of help from members and have alot of good friends I met here as well that
I talk to outside of rig talk. This place is my 2nd home!

Hey dont think like that. Many times I learn things from people with less experience. Forums are great because we can share any thoughts we have and it makes us more insightful.

Yep, everyone has something to contribute.

You know man, that was a nice post - a good read for me first thing in the morning...

I'll tell ya my take on why this place is so great; there's no idolatry; it's not a caste system of membership; there's no applauding one person as a guru or better than another. This is what make RT so fkn ace. There are no power hungry mods (fascists); there's little in the way of thread-steering and product-aiming to benefit the admin; it's a totally socialist place (said in the kindest of ways based on humanitarian perspective, not economic modeling, thank you).

Ya, Rig Talk is a awesome. I love this place too. Thanks for post, Braddah OP!!

Mojo :salute:

Anytime man. To give you an example of why i love this place. Jason (killertone) was helping me with my struggles getting a tone through my jubilee. he offered to make a video with his jubilee using a few boost pedals just to give me an idea of what i could do with mine. He's a great dude even for offering to do that. I don't know enough about videos to be able to do that for someone. Hell i don't even know how to post pics of things i want to sell.

Had much the same experience with Mizati/Kit. Was struggling about a VH4 purchase, and dude went out of his way to make me a low volume vid showcasing the amp. Leads, rhythms, the works. There are some greatly helpful people on here! If you really need some help with pics, PM me and I'll walk you through it, man. It's really easy.

Don't sell yourself short brother... everyone here is different, and that means EVERYONE here has something to add!

Reza did this exact thing on a tone question I had. Posted a vid an hour later! How cool is that?

The most abstract info is here.

I loved a simply awesome band, Brother Kane, album Wishpool. Found one guy here that know a bit about them, what the singer guitar player is doing. Interesting listen, BTW.

You can't pay money to buy what is in the RT family.

And Brad is cool... Hands off and never ever tries to push his gear as the only good gear. Fair play.
