Essentially, I slapped a Dual Rec Orange channel in the preamp. Had to add a tube for an additional input stage. I finished it up last night, but couldn't get any more than don't-wake-the-wife-and-kid volume, so this morning I fired it up at a reasonable volume. So far I'm very pleased. It's actually tighter than I expected. I still have to install a choke, and I may still play around with the plate voltages a little for a better match, but going by sound, I really like this thing. I've still got lots of gain, but it's not so much that with the gain maxed it turns to mush. Stays nice a defined. If I were thinking, I should have done before clips to hear the diference. 
iPhone clip. A little woofy sounding, but I attribute that to the speaker cab, which can be overly woofy.
