Mine has 6550 power tubes and was modded by Trace at Voodoo Amps with a HG Jose mod and a bunch of extra features that allow me to achieve a high gain sound or the vintage classic JMP sound we all love. The orange headshell was made by Scott Splawn to match the Orange cab.
Trace did an HG Jose mod on mine but I also wanted the ability to retain the original character of the amp. There was already a PPIMV mod done before I got the amp. The additional work Trace did was an insert effects loop, push/pull bright pots on the Volume 1 and 2 controls, the PPIMV knob is also a push/pull saturation control, and there is also a +20db clean boost switch on the front. This amp is really a jack of all trades.sg guy":dk6gki5z said:fender126":dk6gki5z said:Congrats!! I love my 76 JMP! -sounds like my old amp!!! 76-2204 with 6550's, except mine was modded with a DOD PREAMP/OVER DRIVE 250 -(YELLOW)- a 12v automotive cigarette lighter and I big hole cut in the side to fit the black square fan that kept the big bottle tone monster's some what cool with the trim pots maxed-(had no idea how to measure bias, I don't even think that word was in my vocabulary..
