Demo above using 4 different guitars/pickups in various tunings. This was after I changed the tubes from stock. Playing was off but the tone was ok.

It just arrived a few days ago. Wasn't immediately jiving with it. Swapped the JJ EL34 power tubes out for Electro Harmonix EL34's. And replaced two EHX preamp tubes with a Svetlana in V2 and a Mullard CV4004 in V3. Also set the bias a little colder. Now it's closer to my tastes.
Very interesting amp. Can sound really saturated or dry depending on how you set it. Either way it always feels nice under the fingers.
I really like the controls and features. Very versatile and simple EQ.
The clean is very nice. I'd have to say it's the best clean I've played on a high-gainer.
The overdrive has a cool grind to it. Very nice highs and midrange. And very punchy low-end. The lows are not super tight or crushing, they are just there and have a slight sag to them (in a good way).
Also I must say Bill was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Gold star service.

Sounds great dude! Also have heard great things about these but haven't played one yet. Enjoy.

Clip sounds great. Are you boosting this in any way?

Is he still building them with real NOS Mustard caps or is he back to using new production?

I think Bill based his amp around a Marshall Plexi/Superlead type of sound and feel in the beginning, then he branched out into the Jose style diode clipping with the G3 which I feel give his amps that Cameronish type tone growl and feel and your clip definitely shows those attributes!

I think the amp sounds fantastic it has that growl I like as well as some plexi clank still, Bill builds a great amp and I would say it has the best clean channel out there as well as Suhr's clean channel. You may need to run an EQ up from or in the loop to push it to more modern if that is your goal.

I'm typing this while your clip plays and my god that thing sounds great.............. Congrats on the new amp. I've listened to your Peters clips in the past and I agree the Peters is more modern like a 5150 but this Landry is Marshall all the way which is a good thing, but I'm a Marshall kind of guy!

Heya mate how's things? :)

The Schecter with the Diablo bridge pickup is straight in. It's a high-output beast of a pickup that doesn't require a boost.
For the Music Man Luke III, I used the guitar's built in preamp boost. It's controlled by a push/push potentiometer on the guitar's volume control.
For the two Suhrs with the SSH+ bridge I utilised a Suhr Koko boost to push the signal output up to similar levels as the other two guitars.

Yeah I love that growl that this amp has. It's very nasty. And the amp also has a very singing 3D sound to single notes. Much moreso than any of my Peters I previously owned. I don't feel a need to change the core tone of this amp. I got it because I wanted something that sits more squarely in the modded-Marshall camp. And the Landry nails it for me. I'm going to get another amp soon that specialises in the more modern tones. Haven't decided what it's going to be as yet, but I'm looking at KSR, Revv and Driftwood to name a few.

Cheers!

Sounds kick ass and great playing

Just got a Koko boost myself. On the clean boost side I love it. Mid side is too much. Would love to hear this amp with whatever your 'modern pairing' is going to be.

HNAD

Heya thanks SD. I live on my Koko's Red Mid Boost side with the Freq Switch to the left. I roll the Green Clean Boost knob almost entirely off, as the Green Clean Boost is still in the signal when you have the Red Mid Boost footswitch selected. This setting adds a little extra percussive attack to the tone. Very helpful for pickups with a more chewy character like the Suhr SSH+.

Sounds killer Gavin...sounds like it has a nice growl to with an open gain structure
Yeah man love the growl this thing has. Sounds really mean for rhythm tones. Gets super greasy lead tones too. Great amp!

Really dig it! Reminded me of your Peters amps, both sound fantastic!
Yeah that was my first thought when I fired it up. It has that growly singing magic that my first Gryphon amp had. The Hydra and GNL never could match my boosted Gryphon tones. Been chasing that sound since flipping that first amp. This Landry G3 covers that base, and also has a little more something special going on when playing single notes.

It has taken some getting used to but I'm getting it dialed in. I feel like I have a boat load of mids as it is with these two amps so adding more is just too over the top. Fun pedal regardless.
