Another GEM from Alund's collection that he is assisting in selling...this is a 1988 Jackson Soloist, top mount Floyd with an 80s artist graphic(this is a unique thing in itself..I always thought you couldn't order an artist graphic during the 80s). Comes with a J90 Alnico bridge pickup, and a J50 in the neck. The J90 has a brightness and clarity that I've never experienced before, kinda reminiscent of a Mighty Mite 1400 but even better.
If any of you are thinking about grabbing one of the collection, Alund is TOP NOTCH and will pack it like a champ!
Here's some pics...

Nice. Fortunately yours is not laying in your bed like @JackBootedThug Explorer. That guitar I sent him is probably cursing me now for selling it like a love doll.
If I could, I would buy all these guitars but I have done that with guns some time ago and I have learned it’s impossible to shoot two at once…. Same with guitars. Old dogs learn tricks too

Nice !! The 80s jackson were the gems.... ya probably need upgrade to 1984 floyd rose trem ? It sure sound much better
It's an OFR...from the 80s. You can tell with the nut using the stupid 'screws through the neck' which most mfrs did back then. And, the fine tuners are showing some brass underneath the black paint.
The very bottom link, click on that and it'll show a close up of the OFR.

It does!!! Thicker brass block !! Congrats !!

Is Alund selling few more jacks ? 80s ?
I have one more Jackson. I’m not going to push this stuff on folks so I’m not surprised all these guitars will be slow to move. Having said that, I’ve sold about 10 and I’ll do a repost this weekend. I’ve been more concentrated on work and a gig tonight.

Nice! But wanted something more rare haha... thanks btw :)

If I were to guess That LP explorer hybrid vs the dimartini crossed dix were it. Having said that. There are more guitars to come. Oh yeah that custom LP is quite nice.

Does it have a preamp in the electronics?
Alas, it does not...I was hoping for one, as I had a 1991 Soloist with the JE1200 and I LOVED that boost. I ordered a copy on eBay Wed, we'll see how it does next week. That 1991 came with the lower output J50 bridge pup and the boost was perfect with it. This soloist has a J90, which measures around 14k so that's maybe why it didn't come with the boost.

I ordered one of these a few years ago just to have on hand in case they were stopped being made.

That one looks even better...since you can control the frequencies....ordered....thanks!
Not to derail your thread, but I was really considering throwing in PAF’s into my LP and adding in this preamp on a push pull pot. Go from vintage to insane sounds in an instant. Wire up a ton pot as a gain pot for even more versatility.
