Quick question on a power transformer primary wires

So this is about a trainwreck style power transformer on amp parts direct APD 8065. My question is about the note in the diagram for the transformer on the website. I just want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly, I need to connect the black and brown wires together and then the black/white and brown/white wires together to get 120v, wired to the power switch correct? Thanks (I know this is straight forward but I have a tendency to question everything and over think stuff)

Yes as the directions state, for 120V the primaries are tied together in parallel paying close attention to the dots so that they are in phase. For 240V the primaries are wired in series.

The reason they are in parallel is because a lower voltage will have to supply more RMS current for a given VA rating. A higher primary voltage won’t have to supply as much current for a given VA rating.

For 120V in parallel, the solid color BRNs on the primary are tied together and the combination colored blk/white wires are connected together.
