SH-5 In a walnut guitar?

I got that Gibson "The Paul", made of walnut, and was wondering if an SH-5 Custom would be a good pickup for that? I have my Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelt as well. Not sure how either of those would work in a walnut guitar. There is a Super Distortion in there now.

One of my friends has a walnut "The Paul" and it's a little picky with pickups, but the best sounding bridge buggy was by far the wagner godwood. He's had it in there for years now at this point.

He went through a ton of stuff, BKP rebel yell, sh-4, sh-5, sh-14, MCP detroiter, PAF pro, 57 classic, etc

It might have been even more than that, those are just the ones I remember.

I'm not a super distortion fan, but if you dig it, keep it in there. I would also get some input from Scott - he's the best for pickup advice.

What's wrong with the super distortion? Been a very long time since I had one; I do have a DiMarzio X2N in my BC Rich Schuldiner Stealth which is amazing IMO, just not too versatile
