...but it's a total rock machine first IMO! I mean everything rock too - from early blues influenced classic rock to thrash metal. It's by no means limited to this side of its personality but it's so much fun to play loud and overdriven! This may well be the best rock guitar I've ever owned. The fact that it works so well for many other types of music is just icing.
I got lucky with this guitar as I traded for it without having the opportunity to play it first. When I first took it out of the case and played it acoustically it was clear that this one has something special going on. It's very resonant - you can feel the guitar vibrate in your hands, against your body! It sounds loud and full unplugged and the top end just rings. The other SC245's I've played have not had these same qualities, or not to this degree.
Playing this guitar makes me want to turn the amp way up and piss the neighbors off. It's an awe inspiring sound!!!
