Torpedo CaptorX clipping

Just received my Captor X and was wondering why I would have to set the input level to LOW in order for the red LED to not flash indicating clipping? I'm using an Epiphone 59 Les Paul standard into a 50 watt Friedman Smallbox combo.

Good morning Fredg73

Thanks for getting in touch. Ross from Two notes Here! The Low switch is actually a sensitivity switch and should be used - as you rightfully have - when your Captor X is clipping. With all amplifiers, the manner in which the power amp is configured differs both in terms of wattage output at a given position and in terms of the transients of the notes played - as such we implemented to Low switch to cater for the widest remit of amplifiers in relation to optimising the signal level fed into the DSP of the Captor X. Please let me know if you have any followup questions concerning this and I will gladly assist!

Kind regards,

Ross
