A preamp tube popped? When the amp is on, check all preamps to see if they're somewhat equally lit. But this is weird - is it DEAD quiet? Any hiss? Any anything??

tubes look ok(even if they 3 years old)
dead quiet,there isnt any sound!
thanks

Each 12AX7 has two tubes, or triodes in each bottle. That leaves you with a total of 14 triodes in 7 preamp tubes. Most likely the second side of your V1 died and the other side
for the clean channels is alive. Try a new V1 and V3.

since i don't have any spare pretubes at home, may i just swap and change V1 with another Vx tube to be secure which one might be the bad tube?

Sure, try swapping V1 with V2. If channel 2 works, you know it's a bad v1. There is a 50/50 chance Channel 4 will or will not work then if the tube in V2 has a bad triode.
V2 uses only half of the tube.

ok guys,it's dark here now.i can clearly see that v3 preamp tube has only one triode light not 2 as the other tubes.
that might be the problem.
i have to order a new preamp tube!
