Steve doesn't know it yet but his ultimate rig is a 7 string Caparison tuned so low that only Sperm Whales can hear it, plugged into a metal zone boosting a 5150 on a Peavey cabinet loaded with Greenbacks. :lol:

They way i see it is that they are back in the ring. Mesa Boogie IMHO has been kicking Marshalls ass for soo long and i bet the final straw for Marshall was the Stilettos. I doubt Marshall is concerned with guys like Splawn, Rocca, or Mojave since they are small companies.

I don't think they've ever been concerned with the smaller companies....marshalls sell no matter what type of product they put out..

it just seems like everytime a new marshallesque amp comes out or is going to come out, people can't help but start the whole 'the sky is going to fall for splawn' bullshit..

sometimes I wonder who's more preoccupied with splawn...me, who has one and loves it, or the people who hate them =)

Put it this way, I was looking at getting a new QR with the new clean channel. I heard the JVM and my money is going to Marshall. So in a way at least with one customer its is affecting Splawn. Hate it though cause I think so much of Scott but I'll put my money where I think the amps sounds more of what Im after. Marshall has made an amp that IMHO is more versatile and sounds better than the Splawn line of amps.

YMMV.
