As far as I'm concerned, it isn't a Marshall unless James Peters built it.

I absolutely Love clip #2 of the Gryphon on his site. I believe that was yours eh? I can't wait to hear more clips of the Gryphon to see what else it's capable of. I think the Chimera might be too modern for me.

How much more aggressive can it get compared to that clip of yours?

Considerably, especially now that the amp has separate damping and depth controls (never mind what it was capable of before). Adam just tries to play and record everything warm, so his clips of the Gryphon ended up that way. It's capable of both that warmth and more aggressive/snappy sounds. It's not really for people into death metal but it can cover just about everything else in high gain territory.

I just listened to that clip again. Man, the Polaris could probably do that sound. :D Adam wasn't using nearly all the gain the amp had for clip #2. I thought you were talking about clip #1.

If anyone does still want a brand new 4 channel JVM head for $1600 I can send you one from England. I'd mark it as used and stuff to try and avoid charges.
