I simply asked if this for sale thread was a joke because I've never heard of the pedal or ever seen an OD pedal selling for $1600.

While the $1600 pedal is funny as hell, I like their FS rules. Keeps things moving along and keeps the BS to a minimum. Sure some people are going to ask retarded prices for things, but who cares?

I frequent TGP but for completely other reasons than I come here. It's just a different environment, both musically and interpersonally.

Some of those dudes could use an enormous bong hit, for sure.
 
that's pretty lame, the guy probably woulda been better off to just answer your question and give some background on the pedal

aside from that...WTF in this world could possibly make an overdrive pedal worth $1600? there's a lot of kickass PCB amps one could buy with that, many of which would have plenty leftover to buy a nice boost with too

I've gotten into several tiffs with folks there that have severe issues. Nose in the air about *their* gear. Anyone else's opinion is crap.

There are some cool people over there tho, (Hell, WE'RE there!), but there certainly can be some loosening up.

Yep, there are FAR more cool dudes over there than cork-sniffers. Sniffing corks or not, there are some people over there who are very serious about all aspects of their tone and I have learned VOLUMES from them.

I don't think it's cool to rain on a guy's price parade. He wants to charge $1600? Fine. Live and let live...... I also wouldn't spend $49,000 on a dumble... or $50,000 on a vintage Gibson, or ......
 
WTF? I was on TGP yesterday and now I can't view the page...those guys are fascists!! :D
 
Only reason I check out TGP is because it's one of the few places where someone has even heard of a Guytron... most of the Guytron owners are great and very knowledgeable about the amp.


...That said, that "infraction" system is a joke. And the fact that we've got more threads on RT now trashing TGP than HC speaks volumes about the colostomy-fest it's become, thanks to a few ultra-cork sniffers with baseball bats and Mastercards up their asses.

Apologies if I'm feisty today, I'm feeling a bit cynical :D
