Hey everyone!

I'm selling my fully decked out FJA Modded 5150II head. The mods that are in it are as follows,

Clarity mod
Lead & Rhythm Channel Mods
Bias mod w/external testing points (2)
Tone Shift - (pull pot) Low
Restore Lead Channel to original 5150 specs
Mercury Magnetic output transformer
Mercury Magnetics choke
Adjustable Noise Reduction Circuit

The only downside, if you consider it one, is that the actual plate that says "5150II" is not there, but the grill is still there. So basically, you can see right though it, it's pretty cool actually, and it gives the amp GREAT ventilation.

The tubes are very new, they are JJ 6L6s with a mix of JJ, Tungsol and GE pre amp tubes.

I'm only selling this because I just bought a Blackmore and need to recoup some costs, so here ya go. I'll be moving into my first house in a several months and need to work on the nest egg. :D My loss is completely your gain. To get the mods done ALONE would cost more than my asking price, so jump on this while ya can. If it doesn't sell on here, it's going to eBay.

$900.00 Shipped to the lower 48, Continental U.S. States. I WILL ship anywhere though, we just have to work out shipping costs, but I have NO problem doing international.

PM me for any more info, for pictures etc. You can also email me at youwannasellnowNOSPAM@aol.com. Remove the NOSPAM, of course.

How did the Blackmore do at band practice?

Well enough for me to justify selling the 5150II and just running the Blackmore as my main amp. However I think that if there wasn't another 5150 int he band mix, I would be keeping the 5150II and selling the Blackmore, but the 5150 and Blackmore together sound good.

Yeah man, thanks again for the easy transaction and what-not. I stuck an RFT in V1, TungSol in V2, and rounded it off with JJs and a GT Mullard Reissue. I am gonna do the SED 6L6s next, I just need to get that Weber Bias-Rite thingie and get the tubes in. It's nice to have a clean, simple amp.

Yeah, it is definately a cool amp. After coming from all sorts of high end, do-it all type amps, it's cool to come back to the super simple, 1-2 channel amps that sound great without having to have a billion different options and channels that I never use. I find myself enjoying these more simplified, one trick pony amps more and more since I know there is really only one channel I can nail the tone I'm looking for on, I tend to focus on tweaking that channel and sound to perfection instead of getting different sounds from switching back and forth between different channels that KINDA do the same thing. The other amp I found myself doing this with, besides my 5150(II), was the VHT D120 I had. It only had one channel so I got that ONE channel to sound incredible. Alas, I did need some kind of option though for leads, and the BM does that for me with the Master A/B volumes and the contour switch, so without having to have a seperate channel, I have different shaping of that one bad ass sound I already have, without having to have a bunch of extra shizzle to acheive it. It's nice.

Well, I am gonna have to buy all the packing stuff for it again and had to buy another pre-amp tube for it cause that JJ that was in it from you was bad when it came. Plus my shipping costs. So I'll be breaking even, I was talking about the loss of a great amp more than loss of cash.

Couldn't agree more. The Master A/B and the contour are really nice things to have. I use the contour for solo boosts and it works really well. I love the extra authority that solos have with that engaged. My rhythm and lead tones aren't all that different so the Blackmore works well for me because I pretty much live in Ch. 4 (I use 3 sometimes), use the contour for solo boosts, and use the clean channel when necessary. Works great. By the way, you will dig that amp even more when you get the 6L6's in there.

The only thing that could make it better would be the tube rectifier mod.
