Parker NiteFly-M

Hi Guys,
What do you people think of Parker NiteFly-M guitar. I tried one at SamAsh.
Sounded really nice with the piazo/electric blend to JVM clean. But I need to know little bit more about the guitar fro other people in the field, it is different form the standard guitars we used to. And then I went to there website and it has some demos done by Mark Seal.
They are selling it around 600 new.

Right now I have JS1000 and I am really happy with its performance, but the cleans on NiteFly-M was very tempting.

They seem to be love/hate. People that like them really, really, REALLY like them. Otherwise people are completely indifferent toward them.

I've always liked the idea of a super light, resonant guitar that has killer cleans. I dislike how the Parker is difficult to fit some aftermarket pickups into.

I think they are superb guitars, but definitely an acquired taste. Every parker I have tried has played like butter and sounded great plugged in. I dig the styling too. If i had the £££ I would have a couple by now!

Yes buffalo Grove SamAsh is the one I go to. Nice people . About two/three weeks back they had around 7-8 parkers. They have the expensive range(the Mojos) behind the counter and the cheep/mid price range (Nitefly) at the entrance. They told me that they are a dealer for Parker.
I am seriously considering so I'll go there again this weekend too.

I was wrong about the price of the guitar I tried. The one for around $600 is a P44.

Can't speak for that model in particular, but I can for parkers in general. I have a Fly Mojo Flame. Amazing. Every time I go in a guitar shop there's never anything I fancy anymore apart from thinking that might be "fun" to have as well. Can't see buying anything else in a long time, and will never sell it.

Great Sustain - Yes
Fat mahogany rich rocking tone with seymours JB - Yes
Amazing warm jazz sound - Yes
Jangly single coil tone - yes
Very smooth bend up/down, down only, or fixed bridge - Yes
Amazing neck graphite neck with stainless frets - Yes
Stable tuning without locking nut so you can lock the bridge and drop tune it in seconds - Yes
Piezo pickups - Yes
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes....

Does it have EVERYTHING? - Oh no, it doesn't have a kill switch. But wait, you can set the piezo volume to nothing and use the pickup selector switch! Ok, - Yes!

I don't really use the piezo pickups much but would still have paid £2600 for it if it only had the mag pickups!

One of my main guitars is a Nitefly SA.
They play incredible and are very stable. I haven't toucht the setup on mine in 6 years.
The stock dimarzios have never given me the thought of changing them.
I have owned a few other electric/piezo bridges and none of them stack up.

There is no downside to this guitar I can find.

i will highly recommend any parker usa model. Nitefly or Fly, but not the singlecut really. I have one parker fly mojo flame and a Custom Shop Parker Mojo Koa Body on the way. they are so stable and the neck is flawless, youll never play a better calculated guitar in your life. truly a work of art.
