Anybody got any info on this guy, other than what's on the Zion web site?
 
Zion guitars = awesome.....i found a used one a couple years ago that was pretty much everything i wanted in a "strat" with pretty much none of the things i dislike about the real thing.....plays fucking awesome, but unfortunately it needs a bit of work to get it back to ideal playability, and i've just not been able to get around to dealing with it yet.

How much do zions go for? How much was yours, if you dont mind me asking?
 
Sweet-ass guitars, Zachman! I'd been gassing for an EBMM, and played a Petrucci the other day, and was unimpressed. After having played my Zion, I haven't been able to find a guitar that I'm as happy with. :(

I got lucky and found mine locally for $635.

I got the cosmic acid flashback looking one "Metal Marble" is what the actual paint scheme is called, new in '87 for around $1400 (I think, memory is fading :lol: the day I got that one I also bought a TC Electronic 2290 and the 0144 controller, so the $1400 might have been what I paid for the TC stuff), the gold one I got '02 for $600 on e-bay

Thanks, It's cool that Zions are one of the last known secrets, so they can be obtained for decent prices (Sometimes) :D but alas that is fading too, thanks to ebay. Any pics of yours???

My OLP I bought for my kid for under $200, I did play EVERY SINGLE Musicman in the store as well as all of the OLP's and I thought the one I ended up getting played better than ALL of the rest, and then when the non-locking tremolo stayed in tune after playing Eruption on it, I HAD TO get it. Just goes to show, perserverence pays off.
 
that looks very nice

i almost bought a trans. blue one like that years ago...it was in a local shop forever, they ended up selling it 2 days before i went down there
