Did a little playthrough of the gain channels on the Bogner Shiva 20th.

This is a KILLER amp for mid gain and hard rock tones. I actually really dug those tones out of it. However, for shitty thrash and hardcore guys like me, I obviously think there are better choices.

This was still a fun one, and I'm lucky to have owned this one! Gonna put it up for sale shortly, but glad I got to experience it.

When we did the Louisiana ampfest years ago someone brought one of these....I was super excited to check it out but ended up finding it massively underwhelming :(

Love mine. It does basically 2 sounds for me, one is like Nick Johnston/Andy Timmons style stuff and the other is Russian Circles/Post Metal stuff. Basically exactly what you said. It can 100% do metal, but that isn't what you buy it for. You want it for clean, mid gain and heavy rock.

I really like mine. Agree that what it does it does well but is not the brutal death machine of amps. It is fun to play in the right situation though and definitely brings the goods to the table.

Totally agree! I won't fault the amp for not being a fire breathing metal machine. It's killer for what it's made for, and fully capable of high gain tones, but wasn't purpose built for it.

I think it's a killer amp with some beautiful cleans and some great tonal variation built in. Whoever buys mine is getting a great one ;)

It is also a nice amp to use in a stereo set up. It plays nice with a lot of other amps for blended tones in my experience.

I could def see that being the case. I posted my Uberschall video last night, They would probabyl make a great pairing and complement each other nicely.
