I have a white one and it's phenomenal. It sounds good with any pickup I put in it, which is uncommon for most guitars.
...and this is the true 'tell' on any guitar...take a pickup you usually don't like ever, for me that's the DiMarzio Tone Zone, and if it sounds good it's a winner. I had a 2008 Candy Tangerine USA Charvel pro mod, MINT condition totally stock that I assumed had a DiMarzio custom shop pickup in it, sounded amazing...swapped a MCP Angel Dust in and I was floored as it was a regular old Tone Zone. Of course it was even better with the MCP but man that thing had killer tone. I sold it in order to grab the 1984 Charvel I traded to Sam. I wish I'd have found another way so I could have kept the Tangerine. Cecilbag here has it now...he's not on much anymore though.

My last Charvel custom had a tone zone and evo in it and it sounded so good I didn’t want to mess with it so I just kept it like that and it was AMAZING.

You guys are gonna laugh, but I swear it’s one of the best Strat neck pickup tones I’ve had

I like to notch a little wood out of the body’s of my nitros so I can easily adjust the necks. I can’t stand taking necks off to adjust and I’m really picky with my setups. The little notch allows me to tweak the neck and be done in two seconds. ?

You could do a coil tap for a single coil sound. I know it’s not the same though.
Yeah exactly not the same and the Tone Specific’s are all 2 braid conductor, so can’t do it. This is more just for fun. Doesn’t work well at all with a humbucker bridge lol, not practical, but as a stand alone neck pickup sound it’s very cool. Very spanky and attacky sounding, but not great imo for cleans

That is great idea. I have a few guitars i would like to do that with but was thinking.....what if the adjustment requires flat head screw driver or philips? Do they make angled flat head tools? Allen key ones will be fine but i think i have 1 or 2 with flat head.

Back to all humbuckers in it again. Tried all the pickups in it now that I wanted to and settled on my signature highoutput Tone Specific set as the best one, although the Bloombucker bridge with virtuoso neck was also killer in it. Tried again the stock Dimarzio’s and can’t believe I thought they sounded killer in it when I first got it haha. For those who kept the Dimarzio’s in them, I recommend upgrading. It gets even better. I know many like to not mess with an already great sound, but I say do it anyway and optimize it! I’ve yet to have any guitar that didn’t improve with either my Tone Specific’s or vintage pickups. Would’ve said also Wagner Iron Man about year and half ago, but not anymore

I’m not a fan of Dimarzio pickups, but they have their place. My white and iced blue nitros have suhr aldrich and SSH+ bridge pickups and Manlius custom hot neck pickups (I can’t stand neck pickups, but these Manlius neck pickups have zero quack to them and sound great). My green nitro still has the stock Dimarzio SD and paf pickups. The pickups sound excellent and I’m completely happy. Plus I don’t want every guitar to have the same pickups.
