If it bothers you enough to want to do something then just tell the seller. He's the person who shipped it and the person that actually had the contract with the carrier. If he chooses to go back and try to get the money for "Sig Req" that's his business. You really have no complaint since you didn't ship it.

My driver won't even put a package requiring a signature on his truck. He does find the time to put packages behind my tires though.

We had a driver repeatedly sign for next day airs at my previous job he never dropped off, only for them to show up later. Did it just to avoid the 10:30 AM guarantee. Pretty shifty, and dishonest, but thats how these fucks operate. They don't care, and nothing you do, say, or complain about will change it.

My vote is, you're already a Karen. A self-absorbed, entitled one.

Cool, thanks for the 808.

Welcome to the list. I’m sorry about your dick size, acting tough on the Internet and all.

Any other new member pre puberty shits I need to know about?
What did he say that came off as acting tough on the internet?

I didn't see anything. Tbh you're the one who came in with the piss poor attitude.

I worked retail for over 7 years and I have zero tolerance for anyone that can’t see through rose colored glasses that their package made it safe and sound and on time non the less, and will still find something to bitch about. I just ignore them - they make life suck.
Sounds like that wasn’t the job for you my friend

There's a difference between whining and expectation of good customer service. Sounds like you've become burned out and cynical in your profession and maybe need a break.
Couldn't be more accurate to the truth. Is a coincidence the 2 people who actually seem butthurt over someone considering filing a complaint for someone not doing their job are current or former disgruntled employees who deal with the public.

I actually deal somewhat in "customer service" and part of my job consists of submitting client complaints. Get them a lot but I guess the difference is my company actually listens to them and makes changes to better the client experience.

Eh, don't pay him any mind. It's actually funny to me because he acts like this is the first forum I've ever been a part of, or that what he thinks of me makes any kind of difference in my life. He and his buddy jumped all over me in another thread, and had a hard time dealing with the fact that insecure internet trolls are pretty easily handled. His type are a dime a dozen, and I just love f'in with them. :ROFLMAO:

I don't know what is going on with the rest of this thread  but I think you have every right to complain. Did you get a new guitar too in the midst of a Fortin Cali, Monomyth Origin and Peavey VTM? If the seller wants you to sign to protect the both of you and pays extra for that - then by all means. There's that. Pretty simple. If there weren't so many scammers out there maybe we would not have to worry about it.

I mean I get the whole pandemic thing and demands placed on shipping companies but if it is such a big deal then remove the extra charge or come up with another way to prove buyer got their box. Like. A picture?

So let's say it is reversed and you sell a guitar and require the buyer to sign for it. Days go by and they buyer is now pinging you asking if you shipped the guitar yet. You check tracker and yep...it's delivered. Buyer files a claim against you or with shipper. They find out it was signed for by the driver. What does that prove? It proves it got stolen off your porch. Or the driver is a shitty guitar playing thief.

My USPS driver signs for my packages all the time unless it's certified mail. Did you ever consider that your driver knew that you were right inside the door and that's why he left it? I deal with the public for a living and I believe in karma. I run into enough whiney assed people on a weekly basis that I don't want to be one of them.
Doesn’t make it legal to sign for someone.

This guy comes here for advice and so many people immediately attack him!?
Don’t worry about glog80, he likes to talk tough but is a huge pussy, and a shit player. He is one of the people here that allow The gear page to be so much more popular.
Whether it makes you a ‘Karen’ or not doesn’t change the fact that he signed a signature illegally. The underlying problem is that he could sign your name and keep the box if we’re letting this just be ok. It is not ok. Complain or ask him next time to not sign your name.

It's absolutely a problem if it's sig required, and no sig obtained....I mean, are you people ok with stuff getting stolen off your front step?? If I sell a high priced item you damn well better believe I'm going to require a signature. The driver signs for it and just leaves it..buyer gets home 2 hrs later and the website show signed and delivered..yet no package for buyer. Stolen.

I'm sure all of you are gonna be ok with that.
Whatever.

Yessir. Signing for someone else is completely immoral. Had he signed and the rain got bad the driver would have ruined that guitar. How sad that it made it across the US just for the delivery guy to mess it up!?

Truly, I agree. Lots of porch pirates out there, and this kind of shit enables it.

Signature required is a service that's paid for. Either way you slice it, a dump and run isn't getting a signature.

Op, complain all you want, and I certainly understand. Especially if it was a high ticket item.

You should absolutely file a complaint, and whomever says otherwise is dead wrong. I just had a Mark III++ Coliseum delivered last week, and the LAST fucking thing I would want is for the driver to sign for me, and leave it at my doorstep begging to be stolen, especially during a downpour. You’re paying extra for the signature requirement specifically so this does NOT happen, and so they can be held accountable. What happens when he signs for it, leaves the package, and some POS steals it? Good luck with that claim!

My legal signature is not the snake as my printed name. This is so that if something happens and the signature is my name, I didn’t do it.

They use to put a tag on your door of your weren’t there to sign saying they’d try again tomorrow. Ow they just forge signature and disappear.

Spoken like someone who has no clue how businesses operate. The drivers don’t care. At all. They will still get paid regardless of whether you say anything, which is the only reason they are delivering packages in the first place.

They are legally allowed to sign for consumers during a covid pandemic. Before the pandemic anyone could sign for a package including a neighbor, I don’t hear you complaining about that as well?

You’re just another new face they just joined a few months ago with the rest. I appreciate your kind words because they save me and others the hassle of having to deal with your ass in the classifieds when the color of the shipping box doesn’t match your dress.
