Guitar 1 amp 2 hits my ears best
I agree with Dan…Guitar 1, amp 2, easily and by far
Thanks man. Amp 2 is a shoe in. What is it about Guitar 1 for you?Guitar 1, amp 2, easily and by far
My last gig was the IIB KRG clean boosted, and live it's next-level. I prefer that amp for live, however I do believe I prefer the IIC+ KRG recorded.Clean boosting the IIB should have next level results. Maybe another post in the future.
Sorry Ted, I'm going to have to disagree with you there. In the room the B+ is much louder, more brutal & more pissed off than the C+. Boosted or not.The IIC+/++ boosted will smoke that IIB flat out, period.

Oh yes, They've been all boosted equally.I know the power sections have a variation but have you honestly boosted the IIC+/++
Does the IIB with loop mod has as much gain as the iic+ or mark iv?O
Oh yes, They've been all boosted equally.
It's worth noting that in addition to myself, I know three guys who have both a IIB/ B+ Coli & a IIC+ / C++ Coli, and if push came to shove we would all pick the B. There's nothing like them in the room. One of them actually already did make that call & sold the C.
The B+'s gain is more than the C+ or a black stripe III, and (barely) less than a C++ or a red/blue stripe III.Does the IIB with loop mod has as much gain as the iic+ or mark iv?

The B+ & the IV actually have a lot in common- see here. Another thing to keep in mind is that we've recently learned the reason the B & C Colis are so much more massive than their counterparts is that their power sections have 0 negative feedback. We also learned that even the Strategy 400 has a little negative feedback so really, the B+ C K amps are the kings of the lineup.
I'm not forgetting, I have two Coli power sections on hand with 0 negative feedback so that trumps the Strategy.Well, you're forgetting the 400 consists of TWO Coliseum power sections. So it's no contest really. It can be run 400w mono or 200w stereo. When I had one and slaved my old SRG C+ to it, that was the one time I thought I was gonna shatter a window...lol
But again, the Strategy is TWO 200w power sections. They are a slightly different power section to allow for 20 more watts per side than the Coli. So one side will still out power a Coli. But, I still enjoyed slaving my C+ more with the 2B+ I had, than with the 400. It seemed more 'one' with the Coli vs 'distant' with the 400. Hard to explain. But the 400 was clearly pushing harder than the B+ I had. Not by much but it was noticeable.I'm not forgetting, I have two Coli power sections on hand with 0 negative feedback so that trumps the Strategy.![]()
