@italoop you’re the reason I jumped on the opportunity to own a PCM81 at all. I watched all of your videos while in graduate school and when I finished, the very first piece of gear I purchased to reestablish my gear post college was a PCM81 in need of repair that was a studio’s backup unit that never got used.

What do you use yourself to convert an instrument level source to line level for use with the PCM81? I use a delay in parallel that needs -10dB but would like a better solution than what I’m doing now which is pre-amp volume sensitive, requiring adjustment.

I use a preamp. Tech21 SansAmp PSA-1. Wonderful.
All run thru a line level mixer (Mackie).
