You know what else would be ideal would be to hear from anyone old school who actually has has a Superlead with the SE100 mod. A lot of old timers have gone but there's a few around...Steve K RIP owned every amp made but there's more who owned their share of amps.

Being the gear nerd I am, I learned that in 1988 Marshall made a limited number of 1959 and 1987 NMV Heads as the first Plexi reissue. They copied the transformers of a particular pair of 1972 100/50w transformers and circuit values and that is what those amps were based from. The headshell front corners have a inside curve where the faceplate ends on both sides; that's a tell on those amps.
When Marshall officially reissued the Plexi as a production (not limited) model in 93/94 they used those same transformers until they were used up; sometime in the late 90s but maybe they lingered longer. So this Hendrix head has those same exact copies of the 1972 100w that they blueprinted. I know certain modders who highly recommend these early Plexi reissues as being equal to the metal panels of the 70s.
Killer amps.
I've got a '93 reissue with those transformers and mods by a special Hero Jorneyman. Actually bigger balls than the 74 version he made.

Maybe explain what "a special Hero Jorneyman" is or who exactly lol

I have a plexi, a 72 super lead, and a 72 mod 5 rockstah. I also have a 79 jmp modded by CAE in the 90s. The 79 jmp is great. A little more gain but a lot of harmonics. The fx loop sucks. Its the SE mod, not the SE LEAD mod so no extra tube (the fx loop has an added tube).

Trade...of course a colored 2150 +/- cash.
