From the title of the thread I was totally expecting some melodic death metal.

But this works too, and yeah, digging that Charvel!

It seems that they are just copying bands from the 1980's. I Follow Archie from Santa Cruz on IG he's a Hell of a Player but he's Cheesy in an 80's Sebastian Bach Kinda way.
 
Digging all those! It's cool that Europe keeping the 80s alive. Wish we had more of that here.

I don't feel Shiraz Lane are copying bands. Being influenced by the 80s is a good thing. Shiraz Lane not only has some great tunes but kick ass musicians too. As for Santa Cruz... I've followed those guys from the beginning. Archie is a killer guitarist but a bit of a knucklehead. He needs to reunite with Johnney and the boys and make some real Santa Cruz music because that original line up has some awesome chemistry.
