So I had a deal worked out to start using my buddy’s Kemper to make some profile packs, and for the hell of it, I took a peek at Reverb.

Put in an offer in this guy and that was that. I actually love the white toaster.

I haven’t touched one of these in years!

The prices are really good on some I've seen lately. I haven't had one for 3 years. I wonder how many updates they have had since then and what's changed?

Man Merged Profiles just got implemented about 3 months before I sold mine. I know they have an editor now but couldn’t for the life of me tell you what’s new.

I got this for $1175 shipped and it looks minty clean.

Mega delay & 'verb update.

New super-versatile overdrive & fuzz algorithms.

Rig Manager continues to be updated and has a built-in editor now.

That's all I can think of OTTOMH. HTH Clint.

So to use Rig Manager it’s just a usb cable to the Kemper right?

Man it’s been so long! Lol!

Yup, correct weight Jez, although I think you'll need a Type A -> Type B cable for hooking up to your 'puter.

Something like this:

[picture won't load. weird issue I've had lately]
We're talking a rectangular plug on one end of the cable and square on the other. You've probably seen these.

The square plug goes into the Kemper 'cause the rectangular socket next to it (on the Kemper) is for USB sticks.

I just picked up a Kemper myself this week. Actually bought it two weeks ago from a guy in Dallas. I'm in Arkansas, about 5 hours away from the Big D but the USPS decided to give it a tour of the country before it finally made it to me. I was really glad it was in one piece when it got here. I'm a total Kemper newb, but managed to get the Rig Manager downloaded last night and backed up all the profiles on the one I bought (all 1006 of them!!). After that, I wiped it and downloaded the Factory Packs and a few other smaller packs available on the Kemper site (still have over 400 in there). I'm going to try to whittle through these, and lock it down to about 20-30 rigs that I really like and just back up everything else.

Awesome man; congrats!

Be sure to check out the free Rig Packs provided by Kemper. They used to only be available to download from the main Kemper site, but are built into Rig Manager now. They consist of Rigs chosen by Kemper from many of the better-known Profile vendors.

Try my Splawn profiles on the Rig Exchange. They came out great. User name JerEvil

Hey Jer I DM’d you this but I thought I’d share here too. 30 min Rig Manager vid I made awhile back. May be helpful to some. Enjoy.

Hey JetEvil, I thought you were gonna be
pulling a heavy metal Britney Spears through
that alien toaster thing,( they do eat btw ).
Funny story, I actually hung out with her & Brad Pitt
at an overnight “supper club” in Amsterdam.
They chain the doors shut.
Brad can MOW DOWN some tree’s, damn.
She was super loaded/toaster’headed but damn
dude she had a f’n smokin’ body though.
The DJ was mixing in Alice In Chains, Motorhead Metallica with other weird shit etc and it was freakin’ killer man.
The man in the jacket who has the pimp hand strong with the red light district sex shows..
Runs Amsterdam.
Yep.?

Excellent video Texhex!

I could listen to you all day mate. You explain things so-well; a natural teacher.

I like the Kemper for playing out. It’s easy and sounds good. But for home usage I really don’t see the idea anymore. The plug-ins today sounds so good. I use the NDSP SLO and like it a lot :)

I have both the powered toaster (which was labeled as unpowered from GC... I won't tell you what I paid for it) and a powered rack... unloading the rack.
I think I've used your Splawn profiles.
Congrats on the grab - great score at a great price.

man i LOVE my Kemper and I've finally got a pretty good amp-in-the-room sound. Effects are vastly improved from what they were originally. i still think that using the loop and external time-based stuff is the way to go, but in a pinch, they are very decent.
