Well at least he stayed in an evil vibe with a song called "An angel is missing" ?

wow, never knew. News to me. Pretty cool though, dude could sing anything.

I saw Black Sabbath on their Heaven and Hell tour. Flawless performance. Might just be the best concert I've ever attended. Best live mix, no question about it.

I actually dig the old stuff!!
Super refreshing from the old metal crap. Been listening to lot Frankie valley. Beach boys.
Just soothing. Omg. I’m not converting am I!?!?
?
I've gone back to listing to the music of my youth... 1968 to 1982. 1980's hair band music invokes nausea, literally. I can't listen to it.

Been into the old 50’s music. Not sure it just sounds good. Jan n Dean. Etc.
not just beach music. But. The whole era. Yes the picking apart solos from hair metal era. Gets kinda stale to me. And im a kid from 80s metal.
When I want rock kinda swing to Zep or Nazareth AC/DC .... the earlier years. Haha

Do not get me fired up about DIO.
The greatest METAL lyricist ever in the history
of any motherf’er.
UNTOUCHABLE.

DIO, Bon Scott, Joey Jordison..,

“Dynamite comes in small packages”

I've heard the second one before.
Never had I heard the first.
I like it though.
Thanks for sharing

Hey, that second tune with the Prophets...for 1967 that is pretty jammin. Great up tempo beat and he's starting to dirty up a little. I honestly think that is respectable. No shame in that one. The first one is like most songs of that era, sounds like "earth angel" with those sweep picked chords in the background. I guess "angels" were an in thing then. "Girls" might have been a little too dicey.

When I heard RJD had joined Black Sabbath, I was skeptical. Man, I couldn't have been more wrong. Just goes to show you the importance of band chemistry. I never cared for Black Sabbath w/Ozzy, yet, his solo material (w/Randy) is fabulous. Some cheesy lyrics, but, that's part of what makes pop music accessible. Ronnie's Rainbow era material is my favorite. It doesn't have that cheesy 80's "jizz" on it.

It all seems innocent until you listen closer. "An angel is missing/from heaven tonight..". Hmmm, a fallen angel? I wonder who that could be. "And if they start counting, they'll see that I'm right" They as in man, counting to the number of the beast...to "see he is right" about Lucifer!

You're insinuating a false "witch language" narrative. Here are the lyrics...

An angel is missing from heaven tonight
And if they start counting they'll see that I'm right
No, she's not in heaven, for how could she be
When that angel is here with me?

Well I don't know how she got here
And once more I don't care
Just when she's the answer
To my every prayer

An angel is missing but please let her stay
For I'd be so lonely if she went away
There are so many angels in heaven above
Please leave me this angel's love

Well I don't know how she got here
And once more I don't care
Just when she's the answer
To my every prayer

An angel is missing but please let her stay
For I'd be so lonely if she went away
There are so many angels in heaven above
Please leave me this angel's love

I need angel's love, come on home
'Cause I want angel's love

I'm actually just kidding lol
