Help me understand. How do we make up for the deficit in production if we export the same as we import. The math doesn’t jive

Consumption:

In 2021, the United States consumed an average of about 19.78 million barrels of petroleum per day

Production:

In 2021, the United States produced an average of about 11.18 million barrels of petroleum per day

https://www.eia.gov/outlooks/steo/report/us_oil.php
Imports:

In 2021, the United States imported about 8.47 million barrels per day

https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=727&t=6
Exports:

In 2021, the United States exported about 8.63 million b/d

We are still getting oil from keystone, they are fucking the american public.

I don’t trust the consumption numbers. My hunch is that is based on unrefined domestic and imports. I think we use the ~11m b/d of “refined” and export the other 8 of “refined”
??

The biggest point I see people missing is that oil needs to be refined. Permits dont do crap if you can’t get the crude to a refinery

That's it, I am buying a horse.
I heard from some horse Youtuber yesterday that most of the hay for horses comes from Russia. Now hay stores are sold out, and the ones that aren't have doubled or tripled their prices. Better buy a horse modeler, quick.

Hay doesn’t come from Russia, but a tremendous amount of wheat does. Not sure how much wheat is in horse feed pellets

same companies that make wood pellets to heat with use the same process to make pellet feed for animals...my oldest worked for one called lignetics.
