Thermion seems interesting !

yeah it kicks ass. theres a board in the middle so its really kind of like two 2x12s in one.

Years ago at my friends music store we put together a 2 channel dual rectifier that had the tolex burned off of it and an avatar 4x12 with unknown speakers in and we were playing an old Gibson firebird. Sounded great . We still talk about it and I still own the firebird.

I really like my Verellen Skyhammer through my Splawn 4x12 cab with Small Blocks. I like my 5150 through it too. I wish it was 8 ohms so it could play raindeer games with the other cabs.

Marshall 4/12 with original naylor speakers, one of a kind sound but still familiar

I’ve run my Mesa DC-3 thru an old Soldano 4x12 for years. It has the old Soldano X12000 speakers in it, which are similar to a V30 but with less of a mid spike. I’ve tried a handful of other cabs and nothing else does it for me.

The cab is on the smaller/lighter side compared to any other 4x12 I’ve had, and I can carry it with one hand if I have to. But it has so much low end thump, it sounds like there’s a subwoofer in my rig. Back when I used to gig, it was very common for people to ask our bass player to turn down, when in fact it was actually me with the low end.

The only downside is that it projects like a laser beam. If you‘re off the center axis more than a couple feet, the sound all but disappears in a stage mix. But I live with it because it sounds so damn good.

My go to cab for everything over the past 15 years or so has been a Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12. For the past ~8 years it's been loaded with K85's and has sounded great with everything except a Marshall 2203 that just threw icepicks through that cab.
