Stick a piece of pvc or rubber tube inside each of the springs and voila, all the ringing is gone.

Did this to my guitar yesterday and loving the results.

I just shave my pubes and stuff them in my trem cavity.
And I keep some of my guitars at Juggernaut's house.

I do a medium sized rubber band and fold it in half and make a hook from and old wound string to pull it into the spring from the other end. Coated springs suck. You have to shave away the coating on the loop and hook end because the coating prevents a good ground between the bridge and claw.

Take a few squares of toilet paper, fold down to size, profit.
Did that a decade or so ago and it's been as good as anything else ever since.

This is the reason i changed the original Gotoh springs to Fender ones.
