The effects will likely be temporary. There are upwards of a dozen other companies who make that ammo, although the Lake City plant is on the better end of the quality spectrum, as they do supply the military. PMC is usually slightly cheaper and has really great consistency for the price. Ive been through a shit-ton of it with zero issues. IMI also makes great stuff, but is more expensive. Their Match ammo is very good. IMI is not concerned with cheap, that country's well-being depends on it..
It will likely hike the price of everything else a bit, just when it was dropping a few dollars, but you will still be able to get that ammo..
This is not that unlike the .18 cent gas price reduction, he gets to say he did something for the sheep, but it never has the desired effect in the real world...
If he moves to also cut imports, those who did not plan ahead will have a significant cost problem. The Supreme Court has already ruled you cannot cut off the ammo supply on any caliber, but I fully expect the democrat nazi's to push the limits as far as they can...
Or even farther until someone sues and takes them to court over it. That seems to be how they approach almost everything...
Go overboard, then take what incremental gains you can get, wash, rinse, repeat.. They have done this forever in the realm of gun control.
Those of you who purchased those old Remington Nylon 66's in that other thread had no idea you were purchasing "assault rifles" at the time
