Do you have a tendency to play one particular guitar with one particular amp? Do you switch them up?

When I pull out my Hanneman it always goes into the 5153. The Snakebyte always goes into the Diezel.

All depends on the track, always. Nothing is ever set in stone for me. I generally have an idea of what amp will work best depending on the riff/idea however.

I pretty much only use my Twin with Strats, but other than that, it really depends on what I'm going for. Most of my other amps are versatile enough that anything goes, like a BE100 sounds awesome no matter what you plug into it.

The Laney gets duty for any Randy era Ozzy songs. It just does it better than anything else.

Bogner for anything original or solo tracking.

My 74 is my go-to main amp for practice

Aldrich for Greek metal style of playing/mystic prophecy/firewind/etc.

I don’t play the 5150 II. It literally only gets play time when I can crank it to band practice levels. It sounds like ass to me not cranked. I keep it around because I know what it can do.

The most universal amps I own are my Bogner XTC and my 74. They themselves cover a lot of ground, but that’s generally how things work here.

As far as guitars, solos I like a thicker neck. Most of the time I’m playing either my 88 charvel with a non-potted pickup I built, my 2018 traditional with stock pickups, or my 85 with EMGs.

That actually sounds like a combo that'd cut through the mix like a chisel man.

I use a Marshall and a Boogie at the same time and I use six guitars based on tuning or song.

At home I go in with no plan and blindly grab a guitar an plug into an amp at random. If bringing stuff to a friend's place (which isn't overly often these days) it's a matter of which amp is the least pain in the ass to unhook and transport. LOL

I don’t have one amp that gets more time than the others as I’m always playing mad scientist with amps and pedals. My Explorer or V get most of the playing time.

This is like me. Jem777 for 80s metal Strat and LP for 70s. The PRS is an everything guitar. Would be the one that I brought out if “there can only be one”

Not really. I have preferences for how some guitars sound with my various amps, but I just grab and turn on whatever i generally feel like playing that day.
