Everyone with two or more guitars/amps

A lot depends on my mood.

Lately I’ve been playing my JCM 2000 more than the Heritage Patriot.

Guitars…I try to rotate and play them all every week so they don’t get jealous.
 
Strat, tele and gretsch only ever get used with my cleaner amps - old Fender Pro or DC30.

My other guitars are 2 humbuckers and all spend equal time with the gain amps - naylor, 100B, iic+, tremoverb and SLO. The exception is I’ll use the tele with the naylor on the rare occasion.

The wild card is the komet. I use all guitars with that.
 
Guitars - depends on my mood and knowing their personality. My Lesters all offer a different feel, vibe, playability, tone, everything. When it comes to the brootz, I have 2 NT7s loaded with different pups, they rarely get much play now. But the Lesters? They get cycled through depending on my mood.

Amps - just depends on what I plan on playing. They too get cycled through almost equally.

I’ll grab whichever guitar has the freshest strings, try and rotate amps to keep the Filter Caps happy. With pedals I can play anything I want on any of my amps. I’m definitely an amp guy. I’ll glance at guitars in stores but much more into amps.
 
i made a point of playing/gigging ALL guitars i bought, so i did a different guitar at every gig...
then, i realised that at every gig im getting used to a diff guitar for first hour or so...necks,volume pots,PU switches,sounds needed...it started becoming a choir ...

but mostly (as number grew) i figured that by the time i come back for a guitar, its strings are, questionable,...oxydizing...one play per set of strings...naaaaaah...its not even the cost but the fact that i kept labouring over strings so... i narrowed it down to 4...

then...i realized that im going to wear out my dearest guitars LP custom and a Mockingbird and then i started duplicating them with similar 'substitutes'...foung a broken neck Standard cheap....then a Jap Mockinbird...

... i realised that i should prolly go to visit a shrink ! hihihi ! GAS is a bitch !

i console myself with notion that i never purchased any cheap axes for resale and stolen them from hands of some kid that wanted to learn to play...never wanted to be that guitar shark that makes instruments more expensive for all...by making extra 300$ on it at other site or shop...

still...if i practised playing as much as i practised looking for gear...i would probably know how to play guitar today !!!:ROFLMAO:

I only got a couple guitars at the moment. A couple older ltd Vipers, one in Eb for thrash, grunge etc... and one tuned to B for sludge metal stuff and modern stuff. I got a Boogie and a Katana, and I rarely use the Katana cause it's just a backup. I really only buy gear that I need and use. If I got something that's not getting used I get rid of it.

I used to have tons of stuff, but I'm over the gear whoring. I buy drugs instead these days.
 
I have 3 guitars (4rth and final one coming soon!)
2 amps
1 Quad Cortex

It usually depends upon what I am doing at the time. Recording, I use everything at different parts.
Live or rehearsals, it will usually be whatever I want to bring. If I don't want to bring a lot, just the Quad into a pedalbaby 100 and into a Bogner Cube. Usually the Quad is for a backup and for rehearsals.

I love playing through my amps live though. Hard to replace that feeling behind you.
 
The only sorta steadfast guitar/amp combo I have is a Fender Start/Super Reverb.(with a Trombetta OD pedal)
It sounds fantastic. So, I just leave it set up.
 
I pick up a different guitar every day. I play each of the guitars through all of the amps.
Some amps have been getting more play than others.
I have too much stuff. I should sell half my amps and guitars and pedals.
