I know the seller. I’ve sold him some Mesas. He has a large collection… and that’s coming from me.

He owns several Rev Cs and MKIIC+s.

Nooooooo it's so rare, that means it's worth it! Everyone is just jealous!!!!

im sorry i just dont "get" it when it comes to this stuff.

i had a Mesa Mark IVa so its not like i dont understand that mesa does revisions, but ... man... $15k for an amp thats currently in production is fucking stupid. i dont care how many rev's there has been. it CANT be THAT different

Here's how different they are. Big disclaimer, in the room, the difference between the Rev C and the MW is a parallel to the difference between a C+ & a JP2C. The vintage amps are CLEAR winners in the room for clarity & definition. However, on the mic..? You decide.

Suffice to say the Rev C is lower gain (whatever that means) & a lot more organic, I'd much rather be playing it in the bedroom. A killer liquid lead, too. All that being said I think I prefer the MW in the live band mix.

The Rev C is IMO tonally the best Recto ever made, and worth a good chunk of change, and maybe some day in the future it'll fetch that price.

There’s a RevD currently for sale in Germany for like 4k and a RevF for 2,5k. Guess that’s more in the ballpark of what the amps are worth.
Keep in mind, here in Europe the mesa stuff is like 20-30% more expensive then in the US.

Beautiful, would love to have it! Crazy price though no doubt. But it just shows you how quickly these amps are going to go through the the roof. Imagine 10 more years from now…. I’d argue that these gain value percentage wise more than just about any other amp on the planet…. What’s a clean 65 deluxe reverb going for these days? Maybe 5k max?

for sure. some of these mesas just went through the roof in just the last 4 years. The internet tone chasers really hiked them up. you'd think that original blackface or tweed fenders would be in that 5 figure range, with how iconic and old they all are by now, but no... the metallica tone chasers have $POKEN!!!

Wish I knew what revision Dual Rec I gigged with in the mid 90's. Since this was pre-interwebz GAS inducing forum activity, to me it was just an amp. I do miss it though.
