Most Greco pickups are in the PAF range. Even the Screamin, although it’s ceramic. Have you played through a real amp yet?

yup....sounds a little off through my tremoverb rig...not bad-just not quite right. Through the interface and my krk's...fuck...way to much bass....

300k pots would do it....or at least attenuate the highs. The Maxon 2000s sounded so much better with 500k pots..

I am and I have not. You know how it is dude....like a kid on Christmas morning with a red ryder bb gun. I'll set it up and re string it today.

Cool, yeah, I think there's a good chance the exaggerated bass is from a too high pickup. A Kahler LP is normally pretty fat, but not to that degree. Could be some super flabby pickup added after the fact too, I guess.

Back the low E side of the pickup away from the strings a small amount, check if it’s 300k pots and change to 500k if it’s not already, restring it, and report back.

The way to tell with the pots; the first number in the sequence of numbers is the rating. Mine are 301528...300k.

going to loosen up everrything on the kahler and level the strings. now is when I wish I had a set of radius guages. Get that bridge set up perfect. Also this Kahler doesn't have the normal screw in the back to lock it either. I've had a couple before and they did.....

Just stick a capo on the first fret and measure the string height at the last fret, you'll get close enough without radius gauges. Not all Kahlers have the stop bolt, I'm not sure when they used it and not but it isn't weird if it doesn't have it.

I was not expecting to play my RR this much either, never been much of a LP guy but these things just have the mojo. I get a good vibe off of them for whatever reason, great build quality.
