Cool little switch box he’s got. That’s crazy he uses 3 SLPs on 10 and runs a 50W Jubilee as the source of the tone. Have your cake and eat it too - the punch of 100W but the feel and gain of a 50W

Love seeing the jubilee getting love lately. My 89 2555 is a fucking monster when cranked with a slight boost.

If I had a dollar every time I’ve read that on here I’d be rich lol
I remember getting a great deal on my 50 watt Silver Jubilee head when I bought it becuase I was also trading in a Carvin X100B head and the sales guy forgot to plug the Carvin into a speaker cabinet. He turned it on and started playing; there was no sound and smoke came out of the back of my Carvin. The owner of the store gave his guy a look like "you freaking idiot." I got the Marshall for under a grand. I paid somewhere between $700 and $900. It was so long ago now that I don't remember for sure.

I'm guessing those reissues are just set to ten and then in but don't do anything. The jub and 2210 ( essentially same gain circuit no?) Are the amps that are mic'd. Nice to see he isn't using captor X either. Real cabs and mics.

Wonder if the new ds-1 waza mod would sound more like his vintage ds-1

2204's are now going for 2k+ around me. That's ridiculous.

You guys are missing the real source of his tone..... the 81 boss ds1! Has to be ! The one of a kind anomaly.

I've see the video, but It seems the plexi heads are not connected to the speaker cabs; In fact in the pedalboard He has the switch to change the channel of either the Jubilee or the 2210

This. The plexi's are just for show and aren't connected to the speakers. The 2210 is the spare, as there weren't any cables going into it. He did mention clean, but I didn't think the Jub was channel switching?

Just an amazingly simple setup.

I had an 88 2550 Jubilee that looked just like the one in the video. Killer amp. So wish I still had that amp. The Plexis in the video were not connected to the speakers. Just for show.

Anybody use the V-Type speakers? What is the story on those?
