From Young Guitar Magazine. More Jubilee love.
I had a 50 watt Silver Jubilee head from 87. Should have never sold it.Love seeing the jubilee getting love lately. My 89 2555 is a fucking monster when cranked with a slight boost.
If I had a dollar every time I’ve read that on here I’d be rich lolI had a 50 watt Silver Jubilee head from 87. Should have never sold it.
I remember getting a great deal on my 50 watt Silver Jubilee head when I bought it becuase I was also trading in a Carvin X100B head and the sales guy forgot to plug the Carvin into a speaker cabinet. He turned it on and started playing; there was no sound and smoke came out of the back of my Carvin. The owner of the store gave his guy a look like "you freaking idiot." I got the Marshall for under a grand. I paid somewhere between $700 and $900. It was so long ago now that I don't remember for sure.If I had a dollar every time I’ve read that on here I’d be rich lol

I'm guessing those reissues are just set to ten and then in but don't do anything. The jub and 2210 ( essentially same gain circuit no?) Are the amps that are mic'd.
This. The plexi's are just for show and aren't connected to the speakers. The 2210 is the spare, as there weren't any cables going into it. He did mention clean, but I didn't think the Jub was channel switching?I'm guessing those reissues are just set to ten and then in but don't do anything. Wonder if the new ds-1 waza mod would sound more like his vintage ds-1
Just an amazingly simple setup.This. The plexi's are just for show and aren't connected to the speakers. The 2210 is the spare, as there weren't any cables going into it. He did mention clean, but I didn't think the Jub was channel switching?
Anybody use the V-Type speakers? What is the story on those?
