Bet that sounds pretty bitchin.

It's pretty nasty. Does everything the 60w version does, then has some extra balls in 100w. Although, if you turn the master volume past 4, you'll no longer have any ear drums.

chassis pic fukin saved! ?

If you check out my website I've got some high quality chassis/guts shots. Hard to find high quality pics of these things on forums. Links are always dead, attachments deleted, etc. www.IICPlus.com

oh yeah, thats you... i sent you pics of one of the boards you needed for your site.

Is that your site? If so are you still selling the channel switcher pedals?

.. I still have to upload those. Whoops. ?

Yup, I'm still selling them. Just got some new PCB boards made for them. I've built one for Mike B, only to find out he's not a guitar player. Big mind fuck right there.

Awesome, I will be ordering one in the next couple weeks. Love your site, I wanted a pedal but didnt see any contact info and was afraid it was years old and invalid.

How does one contact/manage to get a hold of Mike B these days to service/mod ur amp?
I used to be able to call Mesa and get through to him but now it’s the run-around game I have found. Thanks Gibson (wankers).

I got my MK IV fixed by Mike B going through a sales rep. I emailed and got a reply with RNA number.

I called a few months ago and was told he is out and not doing mods

I just was emailing with him. He’s still doing repairs and service. Unsure on mods. I believe if you rma the amp he services it and you probably get it back in about 3 months. I was about to send him my mark iv

Sorry if inappropriate to talk about this on a sales thread (though I’ve always gotten the sense on this forum that anything goes lol) - what is the general thinking on factory c+ market value vs subsequent updates to c+ spec?

Took me about a year of sweet talking him and about $2000 to convince him to do the + mod and add a Graphic EQ. He told me he doesn't want to do mods anymore. The other guys at Mesa tell me he's halfway out the door. I imagine when he officially retires these will skyrocket into dumble-land. Idc. I'd like to keep it, but I'm tryna pay down my mortgage :D

Factory IIC+'s without a doubt command more, much more. Although, Mike B has said that a + is a + no matter if it's factory or not. I've been lucky enough to own several and have half a ton in the same room. They all sound different. One S will sound different than an S one H will sound different than another H. Maybe it's tubes? Resistor/cap tolerance %? LDRs reacting differently? Who knows. My buddies SG was louder and grindy-er than my SRG. My HG is louder and punchier than my buddy's HRG.

I had a mk 3 serviced and tweaked by Mike a year or so ago. During that time (right as Gibson was about to take over) I heard other people say they couldn’t get Mike to mod their shit but, at that time talking to Mike on the phone he was kinda like I’ll do it if I know you and have a good relationship with you and have worked on ur Amps before kinda thing. He was also saying he was unsure about his future at Mesa and was waiting to see how it was gonna pan out. So he’s probably just trying to figure out his next move. I couldn’t imagine how hard that must be after working there for 40 something years or so.

You know, I have been thinking of selling or trading my ENGL special edition. Let me think about this one. Interesting
