I think Phil sounded excellent....
Charlie sounded solid...

Song was tuned down probably a whole step. Zakk is being Zakk. Doing some of Dime's solo parts, but being himself as well on parts. The walk down part after the solo sounded strange, not sure if it was because of the tuning, or if they flubbed it a bit?

He just plays the riffs with out dime swing . Solo was interesting. But it’s zakk !

im not watching. i know im gonna feel like i can play it better than Jeffrey "Zakk Wylde" Wielandt and get mad
So take that anger and play speedy tired pentatonic runs and squeal it when you need a wind-up for a different register to playing the same patterns just with more jiberish until the next squeal…fart….
-he needs to tap into Randy Rhodes before he turns into “Zakk” when he turns into
Diamond Darrell.
That & the sheer INSANE foot sycopations
of Vinnie Paul are missing, but that’s
a TALL order to be serving for any of those bad ass motherfucker’s up there.

Zakks riffing feels odd.But Phil sounds better than I imagined !

It’s never gonna sound right , it’s just never gonna be the same. There isn’t anyone probably that could be closer, but it’s just never gonna sound right. We’ve never really heard THAT song with Phil singing on this level of production and someone other than dime playing…. It’s just not gonna be the same. I love all these guys just like we all do here, but……..

It is what it is . A tribute . It’s cool . It’s no biggie . Im
Just shocked zakk ain’t got that swing to it

Phil sounded great! I honestly wasn't impressed with everything else. Pantera is not the same without Dime and Vinnie and will never be.

I thought this was a great song when Vinnie decided to finally do an album!

The groove seems like its missing from a lot of the playing. Like if you were just learning a song to get the notes down but hadn't gotten the swing in yet. Phil sounded better than expected.

Maybe its the tone of the guitar but Zakk does not pull it off well. Maybe he's using his own rig instead of Dimes. He did mention that would be a possibility on his interview with Ola. But yeah, it's also missing some of Dime's swing too.

Man that was terrible. For one the tuning can't possibly get any lower, give it up Anselmo. It changes the whole tempo of the song. Then there is Wylde.. he is brutal here. Can't play the riff clean and his timing is terrible. I echo the sentiment that Charlie is an awesome drummer but his playing here is super basic and doesn't sound right. My guess is because the busier parts and the timing of them are throwing Zakk off. Zakk is absolutely the wrong guy for this gig. Dime had groove and swing. Zakk has none of that. He is a machine gun pentatonic guy with some country roots. It's all straight ahead. Zero groove.

Yep . The swing !

Dime was the greatest, in my opinion. Literally no one can play like him, as far as I am concerned. If this doesn’t show how unique every player is, I don’t know what will. Dime was IT. To me. The most original heavy guitarist of all time, and no one is even fucking close.
