I had always been intrigued by this model of PRS SCs. Its a 2009 Ted McCarty SC 245. Everyone raves about them. I recently found a used one with a little honest play wear for a decent price.

It really cold in SW Michigan right now, so I let THE TED set in the case for a few hours before taking it out. This limited run of the TEDs are Nitro.

So, I did my usual...new strings, full setup, clean and polish, lemon oil the fretboard, etc...the whole 9 yards!!

The guitar had been re wired to "Les Paul" configuration with different pots and caps. It appears to have the original 57/08 pickups in it. It sets up perfectly! Great low action, no dead spots. I love the neck, a great medium 50s feel!

I love these pickups! They sound killer through my Marshall!

I love everything about the guitar!

Great guitars... great pickups as well. Good score and Ive always kinda dug that Santana headstock.

Awesome. Had a McCarty and loved it. This looks like a step up from what I had for sure. I’ve read great reviews on those pickups.
Great score!

Nice! I've actually been shopping for another PRS Singlecut myself. Prices are nuts. $2k doesn't go as far as it used to!

I hear ya man!! I got lucky on this one. It has some battle scars but nothing horrible

Man..I thought this was gonna be Paul Reed Smith’s “Ted” talk about PRS or that holy grail Hendrix amp or something?

Congrats on the acquisition! That is a damn fine guitar. I am sure it sounds as great as it looks.

Sweet guitar, congratulations! I have a PRS too, a 1957/2008. They really know how to make good guitars.
