Gotta remember-we’re too blessed to be stressed.
Anyone’s circumstances could far worse.
Keep a space in your heart & mind for gratitude.
Seek to be the man you always wanted to meet.

Outstanding advice. I’ve changed my definition of success over the years; it easily comes and goes, but having gratitude and thankfulness can be everlasting.

It was an interesting year ,

We had our son in 2020 , we have a second boy on the way due this June. Covid totally shut my business down for about 2 years. ( live sound and production work )

That was all really hard but we got through it and I changed quite a bit this year with my business as ive been focusing more on just being an a1 ( audio engineer) and not providing equipment. That cuts my day in half and allows for more time with the family.

Life's short , live it up , do the shit you want to do now , tomorrow isn't promised

Our country and world is a mess .... turn off the news and turn up the music. Let's hope for better days ahead.

Happy new year

Ps - I'm literally waiting for my mom to come watch my son right now so we can take our dog to be put down..... sucks !

Hell ya ! I use to teach his style a lot ! So cool. I actually just bought a tab hook of him and he signed it

I’m still emotionally wrecked from the German caterpillar infestation I unwittingly unleashed upon the good RT community. My deepest apologies for that hot mess. Justice has always had it’s price.
You’re a good man.

I'm not a doctor, but that sounds about right.
LMAO!!!
Especially with throwin’ around dragon kicks etc
“FINISH HIM”
EJ is such a monster player. I feel he is often overlooked which is a crime. His playing and style is so original.
David, have you ever been to a G3 concert?
I went to the one with EJ, Vai and Yngiwe.
While I dig EJ the most out of the 3 them
for his violin’like sweetened inversions,..,
-all three started to sound the same.
Just blah, blah and wank.
Maybe 15 women in the entire arena.
ALL dudes standing up front with their chests sticking out & their arms crossed.
I left 3/4’s through the show so I wouldn’t tarnish the inspiration these guys have given me.
Truth is, there are MUCH more talented, tastier and creative guitarists that don’t have to do a f’n G3 to prove their chops or playing for sport.
They’re called songwriter’s.

Costco destroyed our family land and quiet neighborhood to build a warehouse on the wetland buffer zone next door that was home to white owls, foxes, hawks, and so much more after years of us fighting with the city to get a simple permit to build a shed.
This infuriates me.

It was a blur. Too much time spent in hotels just makes the weeks fly by. But overall I’m very fortunate. Hoping for a great 2023.

good year in some ways horrible year in others.
got some good gear
played some great gigs
my daughter is killing it in Nursing at college
me and my wife after 25 years have never been closer.
my company got bought (hopefully this will not mean layoffs, so far so good)
had to deal with some serious health issues
hopeful 2023 will bring back some normalcy
ya fuck 2022

Fuck Covid.

I'm sorry to all my fellow RT'rs that have lost loved ones to it.

I had it in the beginning and it messed up my mom and dad pretty bad - but they survived. I know there are good reasons but we should NOT be funding it and the Chinese should not be fucking with it. Let that shit be. And be honest if you make a mistake. I hate liars.

Glad to put 2022 in the rear view mirror for sure. I relocated to Louisville 3 years ago for a job, lost it in August. Moved back to Atlanta a few weeks ago. Lots of interviews, but usually takes about 3 months to go through the full process. On the upside, I'm 2 months into the process with a company, 8 interviews and 5 online tests (leadership, personality, math, etc...), so hopefully that lands.

The good news is my youngest son graduated from UAB (Univ of Alabama Birmingham) a couple weeks ago. So that out-of-state tuition is done !!
The other good news is I'm sooo glad to be back in Atlanta close to our sons and people I know.
The other other good news is I always kept money back just for times like this, so we're very blessed. The flip side of that is I've had to completely stop any gear quests.

Here's looking to a great upcoming 2023.
