I had been jonesin for a H530. So I went and bought one on GuitarDenter.com. It was a beautiful 530...Old Style Burst, played awesome!
I had that 530 for 4 days. Then I see this custom H530 on Reverb! A 2017 H530...listed as used in EX condition.
I called the shop to get the low-down. The owner of the shop, THE UPPER BOUT, in IL, answers the phone. He went on to tell me that this 530 was a guitar he personally special ordered from Heritage in 2017. He said he ordered it with an upgraded wood package, custom color and an ebony board. The person that originally bought it from his shop had just traded it back into him the day before, for a new Martin.
Its in near mint condition. No fret wear. No scratches or dents. The neck carve is a beefy 50s style...almost identical to the neck on my 2015 H535. As with all H530s, its super light. It sets up with a great low action...plays extremely well! The tone is very open and woody. Of course, the Lollars are spectacular.
Another example of Heritage's great quality as of late.
