I was an aspiring rack guy, and still have a couple fx processors in it, but there's no room in my current guitar setup space for it. I've never been much of a pedal guy, cuz I like the full rack and flashy lights, but pedals are a necessary evil for now. I have a 1987x reissue and just got a 3120 and the only pedals I have are a Full tone Fulldrive 2 Custom Shop, which is in a box and never gets used. I have a Duncan 805 overdrive hooked into my signal chain just after a Dunlop wah, which I also never use because my wah technique suuuuuucks. After that, all I have is one of the mini tc delay pedals, but the app where you can send presets into it from your pickups has been long busted, so I just use the regular built in features. I'm not too good at setting it and it's mostly just there for depth so the signal isn't totally dry.

I guess id probably need a good reverb pedal, a better delay pedal, and probably a chorus for occasional use and I'd be done with it. I pretty much only play 80s hair songs and classic rock from time to time, so that's the flavor I want.

Eventide H9 Max.
Zoom MultiStomp MS-70CDR - only does chorus, delay and reverb.

I still have my H9 Max, but these days it's being used with a Vox Continental organ. Replaced most all my pedals with a Line 6 HX-Effects.

I usually go direct into my tube amps though I may add an EQ (Source Audio EQ2) or dirt (Source Audio UltraWave)

Work on that wah technique. You can do a lot with an amp, a wah and a boost.

I dont really like wah to be honest. I've only seen a few videos that really wowed me with a guy using it. Perhaps kirk Hammett ruined it for me by using it so much from the black album till now lol
