Hey guys,

I have an Aldrich bridge in a Singlecut with a PRS #7 neck. Sounds pretty good but I'm thinking about the Aldrich neck Pickup. Anyone try one?

Also curious about the Rio Grande Buffalo neck pickup. Any experience?

My LP has an Aldrich bridge but I am switching back to a Rio BBQ. Neck pickup is a Gibson BB Pro neck Pickup.

Would it be a nice upgrade to the Buffalo or an Aldrich neck?

Finally, what do you guys think about mixing polished nickel wirh brushed nickel?

My LP has polished hardware but I may get a brushed nickel BBQ bridge pickup. Would that look odd? I coild eventually get a brushed nickel Buffalo. If I keep the Aldrich, I can get an Aldrich neck to match.

The Aldrich neck is a great pickup. Splits really well too

Thanks. I'd be replacing my PRS #7 neck pickup.
I probably need short legs for my PRS.

Thanks for the input gents.

I have an Aldrich in the LP and if I keep it, I'll look at the Aldrich neck. I actually really like the Gibson 490R as well.
It balances well wirh a Rio Grande BBQ.
I miss having the BBQ in this LP. For whatever reason, that pickup suits this LP well. Aldrich feels hotter and brighter. Even though lots of people say the Aldrich is not that hot. I find it is pretty hot.
The resistance is not everything.

Is the Suhr Aldrich that much better than a Gibson 490R?

I like the 490 also but if I had to choose it would be the Aldrich
I hear ya but I use the neck pickup very little so I am deciding to either buy a 490R or just spend the extra and get the Aldrich.

I have the Aldrich set in several guitars. Highly recommended.
