So I decided to jump on this one after the guy sent me the neck specs. I got it on Reverb from a LEGIT Japan dealer who's actually selling these at reasonable prices. Here's a black one he's got left.. https://reverb.com/item/65296688-ed...m-style-seymour-duncan-pickups-2022-brand-new

So the one I got was white, and the neck seems pretty wide, (which I love, we'll see how close it is to his measurements). He also listed it at 9.5lbs.

I loved the one I had before, but I couldn't bond with the skinny neck it had..

Ok, I’m starting to regret talking these up as much as I have in the last month. That’s 4 fuckin’ white ones sold in the last week that I’ve known of and I won’t be able to snag one when I finally sell this fucking Deluxe Reverb, stop buying them!

Gakkido was GREAT to buy from as well, just sent them the money and 5 days later it showed up, they handled all the customs fees on their end.

And with these things coming in under or at $1K they’re a no brainer. I’m in love with mine after not having any interest in LP’s for 30 years. Still hate the neck joint, but I’ve got other guitars when I need to get up that high for a length of time. The rhythm sound I get with this thing is too damn good to ignore.

Was this the one listed for $780-something with $130 something for shipping? It was listed for 9 months and I was hoping it’d go unnoticed until I moved that damn DRRI.

Thanks for the heads up on the bigger necks! I have been looking for an Edwards LPC, and would have bought the black one this morning if I wasn't moving this weekend. Grrrr.... My extra gear cash is on hold until the moving costs are finalized. Doubt that one will be there when the dust settles.

I really enjoy my Edwards LP-125. Has a nice 59 profile and rings great. Wish they came with nitro and not poly though. Only reason I’d sell mine.

I'm not sure if they are older models, but I'm pretty sure there were some that came with a nitro over poly finish kinda like what PRS does. The ones that look kinda aged and yellowed, I mean.

Yeah, I can’t figure out which ones were coated with nitro and which ones weren’t. Deciphering the model numbers and the specs without a whole lot of documented history is a pain in the ass. I’m guessing they did some runs here and there with nitro. Burny did some nitro finishes as well, some of their Rhoads models are straight yellow now.

I don’t get into all the “nitro helps a body breath” shit, but I strongly prefer the way it ages over poly. My JEM is 26 years old and despite being beat to shit and every other white piece of plastic on it is faded, the body is still bright white. It just looks odd.

Anything with a LT is nitro over poly. Anything als is all nitro finish

No, there was one they listed for like $813 that I looked at, but it sold. It came with a gigbag..

The one I bought comes with a case, (through my findings, it seems the ESP gigbags are in short supply). It was a win-win for me. It was less than the black one I listed, (which also ships with a case). I was real tempted on the black one, but then I thought about the high maintenance of keeping black clean and swirl marks immediately just from polishing.

Lucky bastard! I got the gig bag with mine. Fortunately, the Orville I got came with a sick tweed LP case (which I’ve never seen before it showed up at my door). I’m not even sure why I went with the black one because I much prefer the white….I suppose just to give me a reason to buy another. Since it seems the Epiphone Adam Jones sigs need to be played before they’re purchased, I’m not going to fork over any money to that nonsense when I can get one of these without any kind of worry. I plan on getting at least 2 more, if not 3, to have MJT refinish. I want a gold top Custom and an aged Silverburst.

These look awesome. I wish the headstock inlay was closer to the split diamond, but of course then big G would sue the crap out of them.

I think Big G did do something.. Edwards will no longer be making LP's, SG's, V's, or Explorers. I'm sure Gibson's win over Dean got their attention. Japanese law or not, it's still a copyright issue on the Gibson designs.

That’s a bummer. I’m a big fan of ESP/Edwards. If I could find a glossy-finished 4 knob ESP Eclipse with the more LP-style cutaway…
I had a lead on a double-bound gloss black one a few years ago but the seller flaked.

I ordered a white one friday night. I went with the ESP pickup model because I'm going to replace them anyways. I'll give the stock ones a whirl, but they certainly won't be long lived.

I have a Gibson LP 50's Standard Goldtop, and a Custom was the other bucket list guitar. I can't afford Gibson's LP Custom! Plus, as noted, Edwards stopped making these, so I jumped on it. Once they're gone, prices will likely skyrocket.

About Edwards stopping making these, I've heard that too. Don't mean to imply you're lying, but is there like a source for this? Because the LP's, SG's, and V's are still on their site. Same as on eBay.

I don't have first-hand knowledge that Gibson had anything to do with it, or if they're just revamping the line.

I was going to post the exact same info. That’d be AWESOME if they’re bringing them back, it reduces a bit of my “I need to get a couple more before they’re $3K each” anxiety.

Somewhere along the way I heard it was the result of Gibson winning the Dean lawsuit, but that doesn’t make much sense in regards to patent laws in Japan VS the US.

Regardless, I’m still going to try to snag 2-3 more of them as quick as I can. I definitely can’t afford Gibson prices and even if I could, I’m not sure I’d go with them on principal alone for the same reasons I’ll put together a partscaster any day of the week before buying an off the shelf Fender. And I also get a bit of a laugh when a Gbison die-hard gets all perturbed by them. “Why not just get a real Gibson? You could have bought a used, player condition Studio for the same price!”

Oh, interesting.

Are they axing Navigator as well, then? Looks like they aren't.

Here is my old school Edwards. No serial number, Gibson style truss rod, pretty sure it’s Nitro. It’s not pretty but a great guitar.
