I have not tried an original. Here is Hennings post about it from another forum when they were being built:
This pedal is an exact copy of the VFE Standout, which is a great pedal for tightening up an amp. The VFE Standout is no longer being made as the company is shutting down and they seem to be unavailable on the used market, so I decided to build one for myself and got the idea to do a run of them for fun with some silly graphics because of the scarcity on the used market. I will be building every pedal myself so there won't be a ton of these...
The boards are actual VFE boards I purchased and I will be giving credit that this pedal is a dead-on copy of the VFE Standout and not an original design, although I'm not required to.
