I think this is really good.

Get in your time machine and think back to the day if you were playing stuff like this..
I see a Marshall on stage. Must be a JCM 800. Probably a Boss Delay and Chorus in front. The guy works the volume a lot.
Real nice chord passages.

Aimee Mann is killin it on Bass and singing too.
Lets see you do it.. :ROFLMAO:

Til Tuesday was one of my fav "new wave" bands back in the day. Robert Holmes (guitarist) was very underrated IMO. I think he had some of the best '80s guitar tones around.

Many years ago I recall he posted on TGP about the gear he used back in the day. Seemed like a great guy too!

edit, found his post:

Wow you guys, thanks! Back during 'til tuesday I was using for all of it, a Marshall JCM 800 circa 1984 with Channel switching into a 4X12 standard Marshall slant cab. I had the line out feeding a Roland SDE 1000 delay, which returned through a Roland Jazz chorus amp, with the chorus on. That was the Voices Carry tone. For Voices Carry, the song, Id set the repeats to be eighth notes. I rarely used the crunch channel in the Marshall, mostly chose to overdrive the clean one, usually with the help of a tc electronics booster/line driver. Later I had the delay return come through a smaller solid state Roland cube practice amp and used the line out of the marshall to feed an alesis midiverb which returned in stereo to the back direct input of the jazz chorus.

I played a strat on the first record. We were poor, no backup gear, I had but one guitar and it got stolen on the road in Detriot. We had a gig that night opening for Hall and Oates at the Joe Louis arena, so we went to the only store we could find in the area open on a sunday and he was a Washburn dealer. I had to get whatever they had. Hence the use of the Washburn with Pyramid pickups (added at the suggestion of the dealer) by the time we pulled into NYC for the show at the Ritz which is what is up on you tube when I have the striped leggings on!

I can hear I'm also using a tc electronic chorus on the choruses. Chorused chorus chords and chorused repeats on the delay. Loved chorus in the 80s. Now, not so much.

every once in awhile I will go on an 80's or new wave kick.....
I was listening to 1st Wave Deep Cuts on Sirius and they pulled out this tune from the record.. That's how I got on this jag!
It's trippy and caught my ear while I was in the gym..
Amazing how this stuff is available now. Plenty of stuff from the day I never heard before that is really good. I prefer it to anything new because it was tracked and not created on a computer..

Oh my...now check out G'n'R at the Ritz as a stark contrast (G'n'R for the win by a longshot imho).

Well yea dude I love listening to GnR as much as the next guy too but I’d rather watch Aimee Mann in a tight miniskirt prancing around on the stage
