Wah pedal with the widest Wah sound/sweep? Bad Horsie?

Glad I am not alone. I really was surprised with how good it sounds. A little more maintenance with keeping it clean and such compared to a Wah like the bad horsie but damn does it sound good. I grabbed it last year right when they were closing. Mine is a used unit I grabbed for a couple hundred. Looked excellent/hardly used condition.
 
Wilson effects makes some killer wahs.
That's where I'd look if I wanted something different than my Thomas Organ Crybaby.

Also, it's not difficult to mod a wah to get what you want out of it. True bypass, lil more output and wider frequency range are all just a few components and some soldering.

It's seriously the best wah I've ever played, and it isn't even close, I'm surprised it doesn't get brought up more
 
The Petrucci wah has an insanse sweep. it has like 10 degrees more travel. You cant adjust the sweep itself, only the eq. No matter how i set it, it has a massive almost overbearing low end to it. Highs somewhat get lost in the mix. I do love the sweep on the Low setting on the Crybaby Jr

The CFH wah-wah is great. It has a very wide sweep, and you can adjust where it sweeps and how much is sweeps from. Plus it has a built-in boost, fucking thing rules.

But I also like Mesa Boogie amps with all their switches and buttons, I fucking love it when things have a bunch of parameters that I can dial-in to get it right. Some people like the simple, one knob shit, the Cowboys from Hell like to fuck around.

As a few guys here have stated the Petrucci JP95 is pretty solid. Even though it takes a minute to get to all the adjustable parameters internally, the flexibility is pretty good. For me the entire “sweep” is actually musical and usable. I had the Wylde one years ago and while it was cool, I found I barely used it live etc. Really would depend on what your needs are. Are you gigging, recording or playing at home?

To give you an idea here’s a quick solo I used the JP95 on. Kicks in between end of first chorus and 2nd verse (the link cues the right time). Like I said, it’s musical and usable.

Fulltone supa wah is the single greatest wah ever IMO. The clyde deluxe is also very good. People want way too much for the supa if you can even find one.
 
Had a couple Fulltones, like the Xotic better. Does have a slight drop off on activation but it sounds so good you work around it.
 
Chicago iron Parachute, if you want he widest sweep. Fulltone Supa-wah comes in second.
That’s comparing to all the other ones I’ve tried.

It's a bummer about Fulltone.. I mean the politics aside, he had some great pedals and they were affordable. Now they are getting priced at x2 or x3 for some of the models.
