Sydney NSWWere do you live?
Which was useless because the British wouldn't allow it to be flown across the Channel.Well there was the Gloster Meteor....
Well, you know you can say we won the war as well right? Australia was part of if. When somebody says we, it's usually directly related to a person's group or home country. An American saying we won the war isn't a slight on the other countries that fought. Floyd is right, the US entered the European theater for Europe. War is a business theory aside, the US main land was not invaded. And it wasn't going to be, so we lost a whole shit ton of people for Europe. 70+ years on, it seems many Europeans could give 2 shits about those sacrifices and do nothing but mother fuck the US and Americans. Real classy.Sydney NSW
It's not always claimed in the US as a corporate "we". If they really did mean we (the allies) I wouldn't take exception. Don't think I'm the only one to notice it. It's a common gripe.Well, you know you can say we won the war as well right? Australia was part of if. When somebody says we, it's usually directly related to a person's group or home country. People are saying we, not WE.
Lighten up and find something else to offend you.
Oh, and you do know Russia started WWII as an ally of Germany, right?

Wrap your laughing gear around that, mate !Rage on... boy you are overstating it... I can barely give a shit mate. I'm not in the slightest riled.
Seriously? A link to a hack website bitching about Hollywood movies and WWII is your source for being upset?
Yet you make multiple posts bitching about it. Is your neighbor named Jesse?Rage on... boy you are overstating it... I can barely give a shit mate. I'm not in the slightest riled.
It's 5:44am - I can't be arsed finding other things but it's a definite thing... and we do watch TV and movies and guess where they come from. We also fought in Korea and Vietnam. Try finding a movie with the Australians in that or a mention of us.Seriously? A link to a hack website bitching about Hollywood movies and WWII is your source for being upset?
There's reason we call it Hollyweird, buddy. They're in the business to make money. I'm pretty sure anti-US war films made and released in the US wouldn't go over so well.
It's funny, and I talk about WWII quite a bit because it's an area of interest, but whenever I'm in a discussion about it with another American, there's never an inference that it was the US only.![]()
Doesn't Australia have it's own film industry? It's 5:44am - I can't be arsed finding other things but it's a definite thing... and we do watch TV and movies and guess where they come from. We also fought in Korea and Vietnam. Try finding a movie with the Australians in that or a mention of us.

You're making excuses - it's about where people in the US get most of their knowledge and awareness from. We have a population that is the size of one US state - the US has economies of scale. Yes we have a film industry but not a production powerhouse with 250 million people behind it.Doesn't Australia have it's own film industry?
Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey?Bluey is dominating America right now. It’s.k a great time to be a parent lol
Further to that you'd think that the US was the only one giving world aid sometimes. We also give world aid but again it's proportional to our population. That's why the US tops the Olympic medal tally however proportional to our population we do just as well if not better,You're making excuses - it's about where people in the US get most of their knowledge and awareness from. I’m pretty sure gooey kablooey is @Bag Man ‘s safe wordHamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey?
Some decent movies do come from Australia as well but in the US you'd probably need to do a directed search for them because they'd probably think they need subtitles lolHamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey?
I don’t wanna derail this thread too much but “The Proposition” is one of my all-time favorite WesternsSome decent movies do come from Australia as well but in the US you'd probably need to do a directed search for them because they'd probably think they need subtitles lol
