Quick little thrown down of my newly arrived rev f against my uber.

Still getting my head around both these amps actually but I can see why people put them in a similar tone bucket.

Nice one man. Very similar, goes to show how much the cab makes up the sound of a rig.

The Uber has a touch more way down low and has a small push in the middle of the mids if that makes sense, maybe around 800-1000 (aka the tube screamer zone).

I like my Rev Blue boosted, or more specifically filtered upfront. The Dirty Tree works great at sucking out the lows before the preamp pulverises the signal.

Man this video is awesome- nice work man. Both sound great not sure I prefer one or the other. What guitar/pickups are you using?
thanks so much ? Guitar is a Les Paul Zakk Wylde custom with Bareknuckle painkillers

+1. What was the effect on the lead guitar melody? Phase, flange?
I miss some of those old nu metal tunes. And my old Rev F.

Here's a quick ISO I threw down for you mate, delays are with an eventide eclipse, my boss BF-2 and some parts I touch the dunlop bass wah.

The melody for the chorus is the 2nd bit in this video.

Absolutely cab and mic are key hey.

The uber almost sounds a bit 'boosted' vs the recto straight in.

Recto has that wall of sound thing whereas the Uber is a bit more focused with a bit more 'Marshall' in there

I have a dirty tree sitting here that i haven't fired up yet so i'll have to have a tinker :)

I’d love to hear you do this with the same pedal out front. Having had a Rev F recto and a Rev 2 Uber, I’d take the Uber. I have never liked the Rectos turned up loud. They overly compress and choke out (at least it did with a dual and triple Rev F Rectos I owned). The Uber doesn’t do that.

I have a couple of boosts here that i haven't tried yet so i'll throw these amps against each other with some different pedals and see how they go ?

I kinda like the dirtier, drier, more accentuated attack of the Recto. Almost sounds like it was dialed in with a bit less distortion.

And I agree to whoever said it sat better in the mix. Less stuffiness in the mids, and a raspier, meaner high-end.

Is there a way to dial in an Uber to be slightly less mid-forward? I assume yes if you mess with the presence knob, right? Because I feel the mids are getting a bit 5150-ish in here.

I wouldn't say the Uber sounds smoother, but it does sound more "polished" in the highs than the Recto.

agree the Uber is very mid forward here. I have the presence (which is effectively the mid on the uber of course) dialed at 11oclock here. Could try to back it off some more. I would like the mids 'back' a bit more listening back on the uber clip

Both sound good.
I prefer the Bogner it sounds smoother yet very fat low end .
I don't like the high spikey thing the rectos do.
