It’s one thing if you look at someone and have no idea what gender they are, but I feel like once you know what someone wants to be referred as, the only reason not to just refer to them as that, is to be hurtful.

In my head I might be thinking “I’m only calling that person a she because she wants me to”, but I think to purposely not do it to one’s face or when talking about them is disrespectful and intentionally hurtful
