During Covid, kids were home and schooling on their laptops. Schools gave children laptops for this purpose (at least in my neck of the woods).
Not saying this is the best way to educate.

Cant hire teachers, they have no rights in the schools anyways.
Buildings and grounds maintenance costs.
Bussing, or lack there of is a huge problem here.
Violence. Non existing security.
