which violates the 1A, I'm pretty sure you know that.Like I said, hate speech is very clearly held outside of “free speech”
And I’m pretty sure you know that

At this point I really do not see the problem. Maybe I am naive to what actually goes on during these story hours, but I 100% do not care if a “drag queen” reads a story to my child in schoolDo you really not see the problem or are you just playing devils advocate?
which is your right as a parent to decide; just as it's the right of other parents to decide otherwise. At this point I really do not see the problem. Maybe I am naive to what actually goes on during these story hours, but I 100% do not care if a “drag queen” reads a story to my child in school
No not really. Hate speech laws are about keeping the hate from escalating. Clan dudes can say whatever they want at a clan meeting, but saying it to school children can very easily be seen as escalating.which violates the 1A, I'm pretty sure you know that.
so, public school storytime to minor kids; the book is "If you give a mouse a cookie".No not really. Hate speech laws are about keeping the hate from escalating. Clan dudes can say whatever they want at a clan meeting, but saying it to school children can very easily be seen as escalating.
And if you think people talking about being gay in school is “escalating” anything, then you are admitting you think being gay is a problem
That really has nothing to do with it. I just find it to be total horseshit when people say they are concerned about the safety of schools and just gloss over guns. Complete hypocrisy
What if it’s a clan member in full regalia reading about little Billy wanting to transition into little Susie? No not really. Hate speech laws are about keeping the hate from escalating. a kkk member reading this book to your kids is fine with you? I mean, they're just reading a children's book to children, right?
What if it’s a clan member in full regalia reading about little Billy wanting to transition into little Susie?
well, clearly you can't see 1A allows all speech no matter how distasteful or hateful, etc.It is still unbelievable that you are comparing the 2. The kkk is classified as a hate organization. This isn’t apples to apples
ok, how about the Greek Orthodox Church, or Hells Angel's, or the NRA, or Demoncrat Socialists of America, or the GOP,...?It isn’t comparable.
A “drag queen”is a type of performer
The kkk is a hate group often classified as a terrorist organization
Dress up in costumes that represent hate? Cmon manwell, clearly you can't see 1A allows all speech no matter how distasteful or hateful, etc.
like you said, if they're just dressed up in costumes reading children's books to kids, it shouldn't matter?
Which was a joke here. Ton of kids didn’t have internet access or transportation to an access point. Will any of the school shit matter down the road?
During Covid, kids were home and schooling on their laptops. Schools gave children laptops for this purpose (at least in my neck of the woods).
Not saying this is the best way to educate.
Cant hire teachers, they have no rights in the schools anyways.
Buildings and grounds maintenance costs.
Bussing, or lack there of is a huge problem here.
Violence. Non existing security.
Online, one teacher can instruct how many? Cost?
Not saying I am correct, actually probably wrong by a mile, but if schools shut down it wouldn't come as a surprise...
This is one of the most absurd discussions I’ve ever had online lolThe kkk guy could read a childrens book in a school just fine. As long as it's a book that isn't hateful. They can't however wear their robe and hood because that's clearly a symbol of considering what they've done in their history. Drag queens haven't killed tons of people throughout history.

How about a skinhead then? Or maybe a convicted child rapist? Cause luv is luv after all…?The kkk guy could read a childrens book in a school just fine. As long as it's a book that isn't hateful. You are 100% correct ?This is one of the most absurd discussions I’ve ever had online lol
wearing whatever you want is your right. history doesn't change that. anyone remember neo-nazis parading in their little nazi suits in the '70s? even the ACLU defended their Constitutional rights. The kkk guy could read a childrens book in a school just fine.
